By the time that 7 o'clock rolls around Haze and I both start to get a little ancy. Dan works pretty long days and doesn't get home until around 7:30 or 8 if he's recording with an artist. Dan runs a recording studio so either he's spending his days recording, or mixing, mixing days end earlier, so I'm happy when those are happening. It was quite a hard adjustment the first week or so of Dan being back at work, trying to navigate through the day on our own, but it's slowly getting easier as we're finding our rhythm.
By time he walks in the door though it's all worth it, he whisks her out of my arms and she's his for the night. I finish up or start making dinner while he shows me the tunes he's worked on that day, which is always fun to hear!
She gives him the biggest smiles this time of day. She's getting so strong and can push herself up so she can stare into your eyes and give you a big grin, it melts me every time.
Her other favourite, rolling over so she can look up at us when whoever is holding her. These are the best moments that I know I'm going to miss when she's big. Oh man, everyone needs to have babies, they're so much fun!
