I thought I was super behind with posting these bump updates, but looking back at the ones with Hazel, 20 weeks was when I started! I love looking back at the journal of my first pregnancy and am so glad I documented it most weeks, so I'm going to make my best effort to do that this time around too. It's really flying by so much faster this time. Life is much more full with an almost two year old on my hands, balancing work and home life is busy but so fulfilling. Since the fall I've had two full days of working at our T&T studio and one day going out to Abbotsford doing Pink House. Some days Hazel tags along, but since the new year, my dad has been watching her and it's been a huge help! I'm really enjoying these days and last few months before baby numero 2 comes along, because I know a lot will change in the fall, and I'm looking forward to spending a few months cozied up at home, adjusting to life with a new babe. With Hazel I just wanted to bounce back as quickly as possible, but looking back I wish I could tell myself to take it easy! The first few weeks, few months are so precious, hard, exhausting. I'm ready to take it slow and easy, and soak up a newborn baby, I'm so excited for those all day cuddles.
how far along are you? 20 weeks
sleep: Sleep has been uncomfortable since at least week 12, just finding it so hard to get comfortable at night! I'm a stomach sleeper, so adjusting to sleeping on my side takes a while. I finally got a body pillow a few weeks ago and it's changed everything, I'm sleeping SO much better with it.
movement: Such an active little babe. I feel kicks all throughout the day and late at night. Starting to see little movements on the outside now, which is crazy!
cravings: Caesar salad, always.
belly button in or out? Pretty much stickin' right on out.
looking forward to: Dan and I are going away at the beginning of June! Our first real vacation as a family with Hazel, I can't wait. Dan has been a busy man these last few months, we're really looking forward to having some quality family time together.
changes to the home: One of the first things everyone asks is if we're moving. No siree, we are staying in our one bedroom as long as we can fit comfortably. We have our murphy bed, and Hazel's room is pretty big, so the kiddos can share.
